Just a couple of days ago, Ford released an intriguing teaser video of a new high-performance model believed to be the 2016 Ford Mustang GT350. Now a second and much more revealing teaser video has been released as part of a five part series.

In the clip, Raj Nair from Ford’s global product development program says that “This car was a form follows function car. We always wanted to capture what the vehicle needed from an engineering basis working with the design to deliver that and still have an incredibly beautiful car”.

Through that, it is apparent that Ford hasn’t designed this new model purely to provide ballistic performance but to also become an icon in the history of Ford design.

The clip showcase a number of the car’s bespoke bodywork pieces as well as its selection of performance-oriented modifications like the re-worked suspension. As with the first teaser video, this second one reveals the November 17th release date of the car in the same font used in the recently leaked GT350 logo.

If the new Mustang GT350 does indeed debut at L.A., here are a few things we know about it. It will be powered by a new 5.2-litre V8 engine dubbed the VooDoo. Some suggest it will feature a flat-plane crankshaft while others suggest it will be a bi-plane crank. Either way, it is expected to deliver in the region of 600 hp!
