Yesterday, Mercedes-Benz confirmed that the SLK sports car will be rebranded as the SLC from the 2016 model year onwards. For now though, we can continue to enjoy the popular German sports car in its most potent variation, the Mercedes-Benz SLK55 AMG. This particular example comes courtesy of the AMG Performance Studio and is completely bespoke.

The AMG Performance Studio is known for creating some very unique Mercedes-Benz models and their latest creation plays testament to this. Most notably, this SLK55 AMG is now finished in a shade of satin black while also rolling on a set of new sports alloy wheels matte black spokes and a red outer rim.

Elsewhere, the AMG Performance Studio has fitted this SLK55 AMG with matte black tailpipes and the changes continue in the cabin. In place of the standard seats are new ones wrapped in design red pepper leather straight from the SLS AMG. The new seats are complemented with carbon fibre accents as well as an alcantara gear knob.

Beneath the skin, this Mercedes-Benz SLK55 AMG remains standard. That means it features a potent 5.5-litre naturally-aspirated V8 engine delivering 422 hp and 398 lb-ft of torque!
