Over the weekend, 132 cars from Sam Pack’s extensive car collection went under the hammer thanks to RM Auctions. The extremely diverse collection was well received by bidders with one particular car stealing the spotlight.

It was a special green 1967 Shelby 427 Cobra with it managing to sell for $1.29 million. The car is chassis number CSX 3279 and fitted with a 427 cubic inch Ford V8 engine delivering an impressive 425 hp. The car also makes use of four-barrel carburettors, a four-speed manual transmission and most impressively, independent suspension and four-wheel disc brakes.

This 1967 Shelby 427 Cobra only has 12000 miles on it and is especially noteworthy as it has been fitted with the aforementioned Police Interceptor engine. It is believed that just 100 Cobras of this era use the same engine.
