While Aryton Senna may not have won the highest number of Formula One world championships, the Brazilian is still regarded as one of the greatest F1 drivers over 20 years after his death. Now a very interesting and important race car from Senna’s history is up for sale in the United Kingdom.
The car in question is the Toleman TG183B which acted as Ayrton Senna’s very first Formula One car first driven by the Brazilian at his home race. This Toleman TG183B also provided Senna with his very first Formula One championship point at the 1984 South African Grand Prix.
This particular example is chassis number 5 and after being retired after just four rounds, it was retained by the team before being sold in the U.S. In the 1990s, it was fully restored to its original racing condition and once again resides in the U.K.
It remains to be seen just how much is being asked for the car.
