G-Power Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG Coupe with 750hp

Well-known aftermarket tuner G-Power has just released its upgraded Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG Coupe with a few subtle visual modifications but most notably, a hefty bump in performance.

Typically the 5.5-litre, twin-turbocharged V8 engine of the Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG delivers a more than healthy 577 hp. However, G-Power has managed to extract 695 hp from the potent engine as well as 1000 Nm of torque at 2250 rpm which is a 100 Nm boost over the standard car. When it is all said and done, the G-Power Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG Coupe will accelerate to 100 km/h in a mere 3.8 seconds in all-wheel drive guise as well as a top speed of around 330 km/h.

The extra power and torque has been achieved through the installation of the Bi-Tronik 5 V1 module which modifies things like ignition timing and fuel quantity while also moderately increasing the boost of the turbochargers. Pricing for the Bi-Tronik 5 V1 module starts at 6898 euros.

Alongside the engine changes, G-Power offers a set of wheels for the potent German luxury coupe. They are the Hurricane RR forged wheels and measure 21-inch at all four corners. They then feature 265/30 rubber at the front and 295/30 tyres at the rear and are priced at 9095 euros.

sports car competition

G-POWER, the specialist for charging technology for years, expands its product

range with AMG models. The power increase of the charged AMG models is far from

being new for G-POWER. For many years, loyal customers who have an AMG in the

garage in addition to a high-power BMW, have received power-technical upgrades

for their vehicle from Affalterbach. Since the number of these modifications grew

continually, it was only consistent that this know-how was made accessible to a

wider audience.

The focus of G-POWER, as in the BMW models, remains on the most sporty versions

with the star – the vehicles by AMG. The beginnings were made by the AMG models

with the strong 5.5 litres V8 biturbo motor, which will in future be supported by the

G-POWER AMG division.

Key Facts: G-POWER S63 Coupé C217

• 705 PS / 518 kW at 5,250 rpm (+120 PS / 88 kW)

• 1,000 Nm at 2,250 rpm (+100 Nm)

• V-max: >330 km/h

• 0-100 km/h: 3.8s (4MATIC-version)

• External power module Bi-Tronik 5 incl. V-Max lift for 6,898.00 Euro

gross

• 21-inch forged wheel set HURRICANE RR incl. tyres, starting at

9,095.00 Euro gross (VA 9×21 inches, HA 10.5×21 inches)

The Bi-Tronik 5 V1-additional module, connected upstream of the original motor

controller, which is used in the S63 AMG Coupé, records the information measured

and submitted by the vehicle sensors before they reach the serial controller.

The read-in data are modified by the microprocessor of the Bi-Tronik 5 and thus

submitted to the serial controller which then determines the parameters responsible

for the output, such as fuel quantity and ignition time, also initiating a moderate

increase of the charge pressure.

The result gives the 5.5 litres V8-Biturbo drive of the S63 AMG Coupé a power

increase of 585 PS (430 kW) / 900 Nm to 705 PS (518 kW) / 1,000 Nm, giving the

S63 AMG Coupé a noticeably more powerful performance characteristic.

After the power treatment, 100 km/h are reached after only 3.8 seconds, with the

acceleration orgy only ending beyond the 330 km/h.

PRESS RELEASE – AMG Models

Of course, the G-POWER technicians also considered compatibility of the motor

hardware in their power upgrade: in the external G-POWER Bi-Tronik 5 V1 power

module, all motor protection and diagnosis functions are retained. For example, the

power increase is only activated when the prescribed cooling water temperature is

achieved, and temporarily switched off when a maximum permitted oil temperature

is reached – e.g. when driving under permanent full load in high summer.

On the chassis side, the observer will notice the ultra-light-weight 21-inch G-
POWER HURRICANE RR forged wheel set of high-tech aeroplane aluminium,

equipped with tyres from G-POWER technology partner MICHELIN in 265/30R21 on

the front axle and 295/30R21 in the rear. With their double-spoke design, the G-
POWER wheels set individual accents at the body of the S63 AMG Coupé, raising it

from the masses.

The costs for this power upgrade are more moderate than the offered additional

power suggests: 6,898.00 Euro gross for the external Bi-Tronik 5 power module

incl. the manipulation of the serial electronics to raise the V-max limit. The G-
POWER forged wheel set HURRICANE RR incl. MICHELIN tyres is 9,095.00 Euro

gross.” [/showhide]
