Lamborghini Murcielago SV

With the launch of the Lamborghini Aventador and more recently the Huracan, we’ve seen Lamborghini’s staple shade of red, Rosso Mars, rising in popularity. As a result, Murcielago’s finished in Rosso Mars are exceptionally rare but now a range-topping example of the Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SV painted in Rosso Mars has emerged for sale online in the United Kingdom.

This particular Murcielago SV is one of just a handful of right-hand drive models on UK streets and is number 77 of the 186 units produced. It features the optional large rear wing and SV decals and has also been fitted with an aftermarket Larini exhaust system. Despite being a 2009 model, it has covered just 5000 miles.

With its stripped out interior, new carbon fibre lightweight components such as a new front bumper and a massive optional rear wing, the Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SV acted as the perfect send off for the Murcielago. In addition to these changes, its 6.5-liter V12 was tweaked by Lamborghini to produce 662 hp up from the standard 632 hp of the Murcielago LP640. As a result, Lamborghini claimed it could hit 100km/h in just 3.2 seconds when new. However, tests have seen times as low as 2.9 seconds.
