Porsche Cayman GT4

A partial view of the Porsche Cayman GT4 has been accidentally leaked in a video released earlier today by Porsche.

This is the most candid image of the GT4 we have seen to date. Whether this is a viral marketing stunt or legitimate mistake remains to be seen. Either way, the new GT4 appears to be on track for a rumored unveiling at the Geneva Motor Show in March. As we reported earlier this month, the GT4 has been anything but camera shy. Camouflage-free shots of the car testing on the Nurburgring have already been widely circulated around the web. This most recent leak, however, gives us the best look as to what the final production version of the car will look like.

Porsche’s product chief Wolfgang Hatz has confirmed that the GT4 is being developed by the same team that worked on both the new 911 GT3 and 911 GT3 RS. That means the GT4 is going to be one serious bit of kit. The GT4 will likely be powered by Porsche’s brilliant 3.8-liter six-cylinder engine. Output is expected to be around the 400 hp mark. The GT4 will be lighter than the standard car and will carry upgraded brakes, suspension and bodywork.

The GT4 appears for a few brief moments around the 0:11 second mark in the YouTube video above. Check it our for yourself!
