The Goodwood Festival of Speed is one of the highlights of the automotive calendar and is known to be one of the most prestigious car shows in the world. It attracts manufacturers from far an wide who display their latest and greatest cars.

McLaren is no exception and at the 2014 FoS they entered their VP5 test P1 and 650S MSO Spider to run up the infamous hill climb. The cars looked fantastic side by side and certainly stood out. The 650S by MSO wearing the “Y1” registration plate is one that we are very familiar with. We saw the very car, the first MSO 650S Spider, being built before featuring it in an epic lifestyle story!

The MSO 650S Spider is a rare beast. Only 50 examples will be built, all of which were accounted of just weeks after the car was first launched. The stunning image of the VP5 P1 and 650S MSO Spider was snapped by X Rico X as the cars approached the start line of the Goodwood Hillclimb.
