While local deliveries of the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 may have only kicked off in December last year, a bright red example has already hit the market in Dubai courtesy of Al Ain Class Motors.
No pricing details have been released but it is inevitable that it will come at a huge local premium compared to the Z06’s starting price of $78,995 in the United States. Beyond the price, it is immediately apparent that this example has been optioned with the Z07 aerodynamics package which includes a large bootlid lip spoiler, extended side skirts and a different splitter at the front.
Elsewhere, gloss black wheels have been fitted alongside red brake calipers. In the cabin, the clean black and red colour scheme is continued with red leather adorning the seats, dashboard and centre console. Black leather can then be found on the remaining parts of the dash, door panels and the steering wheel.
As if you need reminding, the new Corvette Z06 features a brand new 6.2-litre LT4 supercharged V8 engine delivering 650 hp and an equal 650 lb-ft of torque under the hood. Peak horsepower is reached at 6400 rpm while peak torque is found at 3600 rpm. Excitingly, 90 per cent of the total torque figure is available from just 2500 rpm through to 5400 rpm.
While the American supercar is available with two transmissions, this example is fitted with the seven-speed manual ‘box.
