1 of 23 BMW M4 DTM Champion Edition Snapped on the Streets

With just 23 units pencilled in for production, the BMW M4 DTM Champion Edition is an exceptionally rare beast. As a result, spotting one of the street is certainly not something that happens often but the following example was recently snapped out in public for the first time.

Without a doubt the most eye-catching element of the M4 DTM Champion Edition is its unique livery. It features matte black across much of the bonnet, the roof and the rear decklid as well as rainbow coloured racing stripes similar to Wittman’s DTM racer. Alongside the special livery which also sees the number 23 included on the doors, the BMW M4 DTM Champion Edition is finished exclusively in Alpine White.

Other visual modifications include a blacked out kidney grille with bright orange accents, carbon fibre wing mirrors, an aggressive rear diffuser from M Performance Parts, a subtle carbon fibre bootlid spoiler, bright gold brake calipers and 19-inch gloss black wheels.

Beneath the skin, the car remains identical to the ‘standard’ M4. This means it features a twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre inline-six cylinder engine delivering 425 hp between 5390 rpm and 7000 rpm. It also delivers 406 lb-ft of torque from a low 1800 rpm to 5390 rpm.

As a reminder, the M4 DTM Champion Edition was created to celebrate Marco Wittman’s 2014 DTM championship title.
