Audi Prologue Allroad Concept at the Shanghai Motor Show 2015

Audi’s contribution to the Shanghai Motor Show 2015 is the Audi Prologue Allroad Concept. The design and the idea are already familiar. The Prologue is a car we first saw in Los Angeles, since then, we also saw an Avant version in Geneva earlier this year. The Allroad Concept adds usability to the concept.

Compared to the Prologue Avant Concept, the Allroad model is 77 mm higher due to the revised suspension system and larger 22-inch wheels and tyres. The actual body of the Prologue Allroad bares many resemblances to the Avant with an aggressive tapered roof line and shoulder line as well as the heavily raked rear window.

As with Los Angeles and Geneva, the Audi stand was swamped with people trying to get photos of Audi’s latest and greatest. It gets a Dehua White exterior. The Allroad Concept hides a a twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 engine coupled to an electric motor, together, the combined output is 734 hp and 663.8 lb-ft of torque.

As with the other concepts, the idea is to present a car which previews many future Audi design traits, some of which are already clear to see on recent Audi releases. Those features include the trapezoidal grille design, swept back headlamps and sleeker, curvier profiling.
