We all know that the Dubai Police has a bevy of luxury cars to patrol the streets of the city. And, the police force keeps on updating its garage regularly in order to stay abreast with the latest technological and mechanical advancements in the field of automobiles.
In February, it added the Lexus RCF and in March, the BMW i8 hybrid sport car joined the Dubai Police. These two were in addition to the Nissan GT-R, Ferrari FF, Lamborghini Aventador, Aston Martin One-77, McLaren MP4-12C and Bugatti Veyron that the cops already have in their kitty.
Now, the Dubai Police has decided to bring some variety to its collection by acquiring six Audi A6s.
After a long, “comprehensive study”, the Dubai Police picked the A6 owing to the latter’s “diverse features”.
The authorities liked the car’s suspension system, eco-friendly attributes and the chassis, which is made from aluminium and steel. The A6 will be powered by a 3.0-liter V6 petrol engine, capable of producing 333 hp and 440 Nm of torque. It can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in under six seconds.
The A6 is unique and different from the cars that the police has been currently deploying (which are mostly sport cars). Having such luxury cars help the cops “keep up with the city’s requirements” and also attract attention from foreign tourists.
Apart from adding six new Audis, the Dubai Police has also signed a partnership with Al Nabooda Automobiles, that will ensure that their cars are in top-notch condition whenever required.
