The Audi R8 supercar was introduced in 2006 with a V8 engine. Later the Audi R8 V10 Spyder marked the introduction of the V10 engine in the mid-engine sportscar. Audi also created a limited edition R8 GT and GT3 race versions of their popular supercar.
