Savage Rivale Roadyacht GTS

Pictures of this car have been going around for a while now, but last week the first details on this 4-door 4-seat cabrio coupé were announced. This car is a project from two dutch students, Industrial Product Design.
The target for building this ultimate GT-car, so say the designers, is driving from the Netherlands to the Côte d’Azur where you can unfold the roof and enjoy the sunshine. But, isn’t that the target of most GT-producers? Anyway, what is more important is the engine offcourse.

The Savage Rivale will be powered by a LS6 V8 from GM with extra supercharger producing 601 bhp together with 730 Nm of torque. The engine will run on a 4-speed automatic clutch. All this power results in a 206 mph (330 kmh) topspeed and a sprint from standstill to 62 mph (100 kmh) in only 4.1 seconds. Next to that we have a few more nice details: 4 suicide wing-doors, everything inside the car is controlled by touch-screen and as if this isn’t exclusive enough you can open the doors by using a limited watch that is delivered together with the car.

Savage is currently working on the first piece that will be presented on the AutoRai 2009 with a price expected around € 275,000 ($ 429,300 - £ 217,000). The designers hope to build between 10 and 20 cars of it!
