Corvette Z06 by Romeo Ferraris

Romeo Ferraris has released their take on the Corvette Z06 with an output of 670hp – more than the ZR1 – and an acceleration from 0 to 200km/h in less than 10 seconds. The max speed of the tuned Corvette is 340km/h.

The Z06 is powered by the standard 7-liter LS7 engine that has been upgraded to output 677hp at 6000rpm and 823Nm of torque at 4950rpm. A new exhaust system and a re-mapped ECU are included in the package making it possible to get from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds.

Furthermore, they equipped the vehicle with 19 inch alloys at the front and 20 inch at the back, a new suspension system and bigger brakes with six-piston calipers up front and 345mm with four-piston calipers at the rear. The brake discs are 380mm.

The Corvette received various carbon fiber aerodynamics parts and an updated interior, including an in-house “Commando” sport steering wheel, Recaro Sportster seats and leather touches to replace outgoing plastic moldings.

  1. The matte black was done on the cheap. It would have cost more, but it certainly would have looked better if the front and rear bumpers were replaced with another material that more closely replaced the body panels, so that the matte black would look consistent.

The steering wheel was upgraded, but ALL of the plastic should have been replaced, including the center piece. I can also see that the standard GM stereo system, ugly knobs and all is still in place.

It hardly seems worth it to do any interior work or fancy paintjob unless you were going to make it high-end or give it a stripped down appearance, in which case the entire interior could have been redone in matte black as well.

The performance improvements via ECU are acceptable, but hardly noteworthy. Nice try – but I’d be more inclined to just buy a ZR1 or get a Z06 that’s been enhanced by true performance aficionados. (Yeah, I just implied that these guys are basically tires, wheels and paint guys. Sue me. Just be sure to throw in a box subwoofer in the truck for that extra “around the corner” makeover. lol)

  2. This is not real Carbon Fiber, it´s a cheap foil and in short time it will look like 10 years old. With real carbon fiber the gab measured will be a problem because of the resin and paint. Also you guys didnt take care about that the carbon texture goes all the same way!!! The steering wheel looks very cheap and not professional. This car is not a BMW 3 from 1993!!!

  3. Should have not messed with the interior- could have spent the money elswhere and the matte black gets a thumbs down from me- other wise increased HP all ok!!
