RM Auctions sold their 200th million dollar vehicle last night at Monterey. The sale of an ex-Steve McQueen 1970 Porsche 911S reached a handsome $ 1.25 million figure from a modest starting price of $ 200,000.

The grey Porsche was delivered to McQueen on the set of the LeMans film. It quickly became his personal car throughout the filming and even featured in the opening sequences. A US woman placed the winning bid for the 112,400 mile 911.
