A spy video of the Ferrari 599 successor, known internally as the Ferrari F152, has emerged via AutoMotorUndSport, the popular German magazine. The video reveals the V12 soundtrack as the car travels around the roads of Maranello. Underneath all that camouflage we’re guessing that the F152 is more or less complete. We expect to see it at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show.

The new GT will use a version of Ferrari’s 6.3 liter V12 which reportedly provides at least 700 horsepower, making it more powerful than the 599 GTO and the FF. The power will be transferred to the rear wheels via a seven-speed twin-clutch transmission with a F1-style electronic differential. These specifications would ensure a performance similar to its main competitor, the Lamborghini Aventador.

Rumours have suggested that Ferrari’s luxury GT will use will go against the current trend of using carbon fiber and instead will use aluminium. It’s said that the decision was made as it does not present enough of a weight saving to justify the difficulty in repair in the event a crash.

We’ll have to wait until March to see what the F152 looks like. Deliveries should begin late 2012.
