MEC Design released pictures and details of their kit for the new R231 Mercedes-Benz SL550 today. In terms of styling, the car featers a full AMG bumper conversion with exhaust tailpipes that resemble the performance convertible. In addition, the new tailpipes now offer two volume settings, ‘Daytona’ and ‘Earthquake’!

The wheels are MEC Design mecxtremeI 3 piece units finished in chrome and measuring 10×20 at the front with a four inch outer lip and 12×20 at the rear with a five inch outer lip. Tyres are supplied by Continental in sizes 255/30ZR20 at the front with a 20mm spacer and 305/25ZR20 at the rear.

MEC Design fitted their ELS Module, a lowering system with enough range for up to 55mm lower chassis settings. Underneath, the SL550 retains a normal state of tune. It has a 4.6 liter V8 engine with 435hp and 700Nm of torque alongside a seven-speed automatic gearbox.
