Every year, the auctions at Amelia Island see some truly incredible classic cars being sold for exceptionally high prices. This year’s Amelia Island Auctions were no different with a host of cars crossing the auction block with many selling for well over $1 million.
The highest seller was a rare 1937 Delahaye 135 Competition Court Torpedo which sold for an extraordinary $6.6 million. Other cars to cross over the million dollar barrier included a 1934 Duesenberg Model SJ Conv Sedan selling for $1.425 million while the late Malcolm Pray’s BMW 507 fetched a record-breaking $2.2 million when the final hammer dropped.
Other notable cars which sold included a Mercedes-Benz 300SL Roadster selling for $1.675 million and a 1961 Ferrari 250 GT Series II Cabriolet bringing in a cool $1.6 million.
