2015 Dodge Challenger SRT HEMI Hellcat Priced at $59,995

With a record-setting 707 hp under the hood, one could excuse Dodge for overpricing the extreme Challenger SRT Hellcat to atmospheric levels. However, they haven’t done that with confirmation that the most powerful series production muscle car ever starts at just $59,995.

That price excludes the $995 destination charge but does include the $2100 or $1800 gas-guzzler tax depending on which transmission is optioned. When it is all said and done, the starting price means the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat provides the most horsepower per dollar of any car on the market in the United States.

The official options list for the muscle car hasn’t been revealed, but it can be finished in 11 different colours and shades ranging from the new Sublime Green and B5 Blue through to Billet Silver Metallic and Ivory White.

As if you needed reminding, the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat is powered by a brutal 6.2-litre supercharged V8 engine which is the most powerful the Chrysler Group has ever produced. All up, it delivers an exceptional 707 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque!

To help limit power of the new SRT Hellcat in not-ideal situations, it comes standard with a black key fob which limits power to 500 hp while the red key fob unlocks the full potential of 707 screaming horsepower.
