Mercedes-Benz GLA Priced From $31,000 in U.S

Official U.S. pricing for the new 2015 Mercedes-Benz GLA has just been revealed with pricing starting at $31,300 for the entry-level GLA250.

The aforementioned price for the GLA250 is for the front-wheel drive model. As for the other two models set to reach U.S. shores, the all-wheel drive Mercedes-Benz GLA240 4Matic starts at $34,225 including the $925 destination charge. Finally, the range topping GLA45 AMG starts at $49,225.

As you would expect for us, the most interesting of these models is the GLA45 AMG. The Mercedes-Benz GLA45 AMG impresses thanks to its tiny AMG 2.0-litre turbo engine. In the GLA45 AMG it delivers a more than adequate 360 hp and 331 lb-ft of torque transferred to a 4MATIC all-wheel drive system via a seven-speed AMG Speedshift DCT transmission. Thanks to this combination, the GLA45 AMG accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds and reaches a top speed of 250 km/h (electronically limited).

In terms of efficiency, the Mercedes-Benz GLA45 AMG will sip just 7.5 litres per 100 kilometres of fuel. Quite incredible given the performance figures of the car. Mercedes say the GLA45 AMG is the third vehicle with four-cylinder turbo engine to appeal to a young target group, in addition to the A45 AMG and the CLA45 AMG.
